Poetry Lounge

Poetry, Rap, Singing, Spoken word & more! Highline is so diverse, let’s celebrate that through different forms of art. Come share with us during poetry lounge. Each student allowed a maximum of three minutes and will need to sign up prior to the event. We look forward to seeing you there!

Crossroads of identity: Race, Ethnicity, and Nationality

Do you prefer one of your identities more? Or do you value all of them equally? We will be engaging in an open dialogue about how race, ethnicity and nationality shape our identities and experiences. We will be exploring the concept of intersectionality and how our identities often cross.

Let’s maximize that potential by breaking barriers. In this program we will talk about stereotypes, cultural differences, & interchange of students. With the outcome of students actively being an Inter-Cultural community.  

Happiness: How To Maximize it in Your Life

Are you living your best life or you just existing? We all strive for happiness, unfortunately it's not prioritized enough. This open dialogue explores ways that we can increase our happiness so that we can live our lives to the fullest.

Counseling Wisdom Series

The Counseling Wisdom Series is a collection of workshops hosted in the Intercultural Center and led by counselors from the Counseling Center focused on mental health concerns relevant to the needs of students at Highline College.

Global Village

Global Village explores the relationship between students’ local and global identities to increase awareness of global issues and how they impact us locally.

Poetry Lounge

This poetry lounge is an open space for the Highline community to freely express their perspectives, ideas, and voices through performance art.

Flick Fridays

Flick Fridays provides a space for students to wind down from the long week of classes and exam. An opportunity to enjoy a movie at the ICC and share dialogue.
